Time travels fast at Mission Gallery

Second Star to the Right and Straight on Until Morning | 4 June – 24 July 2011

Ben Rowe’s exhibition has nearly come to an end; it signifies how quickly time has flown here at Mission Gallery.
Ben’s exhibition was the first exhibition installed by Mission Gallery’s new staff; Hannah Kelly (Gallery Development Officer) and Emma Williams (Administrator).
Since it’s installation the new team have been working hard on developing new ideas for the new and exciting times ahead.
If you pop into Mission Gallery, you’ll be able to see some of the new developments already:

  • Feature Drawing: An opportunity for young people to present their work at Mission Gallery
  • Maker in Focus: Promoting excellence in the Applied Arts
  • The […] Space: A new programme for moving image and supporting artist videos

We’ve also been working hard on the Jane Phillips Award

To mentor, nurture and support the professional artistic growth of young, emerging artists across the Visual and Applied Arts
Aswell as an Art Auction to support the award.
We’re sad to see Ben Rowe’s exhibition coming to an end but we’re looking forward to the beginning of Live Out Loud | An Exhibition of Paintings by Jane Phillips, and the forthcoming auction and award launch. The exhibition will be a great celebration and an exciting opportunity for a young/emerging artist to integrate with Mission Gallery’s ethos.
